Terms and Conditions of Bookings at The Fyne Den Adventure Zone and Family Hub

Please note all Covid19 health & safety instructions you are requested to follow,  designed for the benefit of you, other people and our staff’s safety. Please see our Covid19 policy on our website.  We reserve the right to eject anyone from our premises who does not comply with our reasonable rules.

The Adventure Zone & Family Hub, forms part of The Fyne Den, run by Cairndow Community Childcare LTD. which includes our Little Learners childcare setting.  We are a not-for-profit company and a registered charity, with the mission to provide excellent family focussed services and opportunities which will benefit the local and wider communities.

The Fyne Den adventure zone provides a facility for families to play in an indoor area where challenging wooden equipment and sand is provided.  Also, to hire space for meetings and events in the hireable Family Hub area.  Both are provided in a facility that is clean and tidy for all customers.  As a community facility prices are kept as low as possible.  In order to do this, the Terms & Conditions set out below must be adhered to by all who book our facility.

 

The Fyne Den reserves the right to refuse a booking or if the booking is deemed inappropriate or the Hirer has been found or suspected to have previously broken these terms and conditions.  The Fyne Den reserves the right to refuse entry, or eject from the premises, anyone they choose.

The Fyne Den reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions at any time at its discretion.

No dogs are allowed in the building unless they are Service Dogs.

The Fyne Den has a NO SMOKING/VAPING policy throughout, including the outside of the building and car parking areas.

Booking a Play Session or Family Hub space

When you book a play session in the Adventure Zone or event in the Family Hub Space, you are accepting that these terms and conditions form the basis of any contract between The Fyne Den and yourself.

Booking is only available online, but any queries over the booking can be made by phone/messenger/email.

You agree to abide by the Play Policy for the Adventure Zone.

For the purpose of entry into the adventure zone, adults are aged 18+ and children are aged 1-17. Children under 1 enjoy access to The Fyne Den at a lower price which is displayed on the website.

Prices

Prices are inclusive of VAT. Once you have paid, we will not increase the price of your session.

A booking fee will be applied when booking online to help cover the cost of the ticketing system.

Prices are correct at time of going to press and published on our website and social media marketing and are subject to change without notification.

Any discounts or offers are only available for limited quantities and periods and shall not be available unless displayed on our Facebook page, website or on our premises.

 

Cancellations

Payments or deposits are collected at time of booking. Any payments due will be collected by a cashless card system on the premises due at the time of your visit.  Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• Up to 3 days before the hire date - 50% of the value of the hire.
• 1 day before the event - 100% of the value of the hire.

CCC will consider individual cases in extraordinary circumstances

CCC shall have no liability to you if we are unable to fulfil a booking due to an event of Force Majeure. In the event of CCC being unable to fulfil your booking our liability to you shall not exceed to the agreed cost of the hire.

Except where expressly permitted under the Data Protection Act 1998, we will only use your personal details in connection with your Booking arrangements, unless you agree otherwise. We will keep your personal details secure in accordance with our obligations under the Date Protection Act 1998. Please see our Privacy Policy available online.

Use of the Adventure Zone and Family Hub

No child will be admitted to The Fyne Den unless they are accompanied by an adult (18 years or over) and children whilst on site must remain under the control or supervision of an adult at all times.

As per our play policy, adult supervision is required during a play session, and the adult child ratio should reflect the ability and ages of the children present.

Damage, breakages or loss of The Fyne Den property, fixtures and fittings during the booking, must be reported promptly to a team member. 

FIRE SAFETY PLAN: The Fyne Den Team will be on the premises during the length of your booking.  If for any reason the fire alarm should sound, please follow the team members instructions to vacate the building and gather at the meeting point at the far end (furthest from the building) of the front car park. Fire doors MUST remain unobstructed during a booking.

Family Hub Room Hire Only

Alcohol can only be consumed on the premises by adults booking hireable space in the Family Hub rooms by prior arrangement with The Fyne Den and never in the Adventure Zone.

It is then the responsibility of the hirer to obtain the appropriate licence and to comply with the terms of that licence.  It is the hirers sole responsibility when offering alcohol to adults who are over 18 when children are present, that every effort is made to guard and protect children from coming into contact with the storing, serving and consumption of alcohol.

Any decorations put up by Hirers must be non-flammable and may not be fixed near light fittings. Only blu-tak can be used as an adhesive which can be supplied.  Please do not use sellotape, adhesive tape, drawing pins, staples, or any other fixings. Please remove the decorations at the end of your booking.  No abrasive material is permitted on the floor.
